Project: Art Direction

For the 2020/21 season we created a new Art Direction giving Chelsea FC a fresh and distinct look. Using a documentary style of photography, the aim was to blur the lines between on and off the pitch and give fans a look into the individual personalities of the players, to create a sense of connection.

I researched various styles of photography that could differentiate Chelsea FC from other clubs. Once decided on this style I found a photographer that I could work with to capture the desired images.

The photography was used throughout the season on all marketing collateral and club website.

Responsibilities: Concepting. Art Direction. Print and digital design. Managing Junior Designer and Freelance photographer. Motion Design. Branding. Animation. Video editing. Copywriting. Project Lead.

Digital Campaigns

I have designed various branded campaigns and templates for social media, and digital OOH some with animations. Throughout the season these templates would be used with different players. Some of our campaigns were also run on DOOH.

I would design campaigns for our sub brands which included gyms, restaurants, hotels and night clubs.

Stadium Branding

Every season we would re-brand the stadium giving a modern fresh new look for the fans. This would include everything from digital signage to physical.

One of the key objectives of this rebranding project was to foster a stronger sense of community and belonging among fans. By creating spaces that celebrated the club's history and values, we aimed to deepen the emotional connection between supporters and the stadium, enhancing their overall matchday experience.
